Chijeh Hu, Esq.
For more than a decade before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Hu worked as an engineer, a manager, and a business owner. His involvement in large-scale domestic and international development projects provides him intimate knowledge of how business works. With this combination of real world business experience and legal knowledge, Mr. Hu is uniquely positioned to assist parties seeking consensus in disputes or to establish business ventures. His ability to quickly grasp underlying issues without being detained by technicalities allows parties to focus on substantive matters, facilitating practical, fair and expeditious resolutions. In addition, Mr. Hu is familiar with immigration law and has been an active American Immigration Lawyers Association since 2009.
Legal Experience
Following law school, Mr. Hu worked as an associate attorney at Bell Rosenberg & Hughes, an Oakland law firm that subsequently merged with Kilpatrick Townsend and Townsend. He has represented the firm’s clients in various cases, litigating in court or appearing in mediation sessions, resolving disputes large and small. In 2009, he founded the Law Office of Chijeh Hu and grew the legal practice into a seven-attorney law firm – the now incorporated CJH & Associates, P.C. Working with contractors, owners/developers, cities and counties, and architects/engineers constantly, he is familiar with the typical legal rights, obligations, and perspectives of of these parties, making him extremely efficient in negotiations and resolving disputes involving these parties.
Mr. Hu also has a substantial immigration practice, mainly in the area of employment-based fifth category under the Immigration Code. (EB-5).
